The dark matter nature from its distribution in galaxies
IFPU & online
June 13 – 16, 2022
A large number of cosmological and astrophysical observations, together with dedicated searches at LHC and numerous attempts at underground laboratories of a direct dark matter (DM) particle detection, strongly indicate that its nature is far than being simple and known. On the other side, clear traces of an unexpected nature of the dark particle seem to be imprinted in the macroscopic properties of the dark and the luminous components of galaxies. The program of this workshop is to bring together astrophysicists, cosmologists, astroparticle physicists to set the goals for multidisciplinary future work. The questions that will be dealt include what the observations and the experiments are telling us about the DM and how to improve our knowledge of the phenomenon, once one accepts a new paradigm in which the dark particle has a complex and theoretically unexpected nature.
