The Institute for Fundamental Physics of the Universe opens a call of interest for two, possibly three, postdoctoral research positions to start in 2025.

Postdocs at IFPU work in close connections with staff members from the supporting institutions and also benefit from the extended visitor and research programs the Institute is hosting.

Positions Details:

– The first position (a 2+1 years term) will focus on topics related to the Astroparticle Physics group at SISSA, encompassing research on astroparticle physics, dark matter, dark energy, astrophysical probes of fundamental interactions, the early Universe, gravitational wave astrophysics, cosmic structures, and the theory and phenomenology of classical and quantum gravity.

– A second position (a 2+1 years term) and a potential third position (a 2 years term) will involve research in areas of interest to the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste and INAF. These topics include solar system studies, astrobiology, high-energy astrophysics, active galactic nuclei (AGN), stellar and galaxy evolution, galaxy clusters, the intergalactic medium (IGM), large-scale structure, and cosmology.

Applications should be submitted via the AJO website at:
https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/29149
Complete applications should be received by December 15th, 2024.
All applications will be considered for each available position.
